monster - strawberry shot (zero sugar)

I know the strawberry is only a "shot," but I was hoping it would be more prominent. It tastes like a regular monster with a hint of frutiness, nay, not even a hint, rather a faint, distant whisper. I like the can design and red tab, but that is where it ends for me. I will likely never pick up this flavor again, it just does nothing for me or gets me excited to get pepped up on caffeine.
monster - voodoo grape

When I am excited for a new Monster flavor, I often find myself tempering my expectations, but I am glad I refrained in anticipation for voodoo grape. This has become my new go-to. It tastes like concentrated nerds or what I imagine purple flurp tastes like. It is so good!! The can design and little blurb are campy and warm my heart. I don't normally drink full sugar energy drinks, but the voodoo grape is worth the calories dahling. I will always pick this one up when I see it, it is that good!!

While the flavor of this monster is...interesting, the can design is one of my favorites. I knew this flavor was coming out early 2026 and the intial leak with can piqued my interests. However...the flavor. I like to go into new "vague" Monster flavors blind. I thought this tasted like a green jolly rancher and only when I learned the flavor is yuzu melon, did I taste a hint of honeydew. The yuzu is not at the party or the neighborhood. It was fun to have one, but I will definitely not pick this up again.
monster - viking berry

I was initially apprehensive about this flavor because the juice monsters tend to be too sweet/calroic for me. However, given that I will soon be in Iceland, I thought I should give this one a try. It is sweet, but the tart frutiness helps cut some of the sweetness of this juice one. The flavor is supposed to be lingonberries and cloudberries, of which I have only had the former. Nonetheless, I found the flavor enjoyable and am particularly fond of the can design. If I'm feeling glutinous, I might pick this one up again.
monster - ultra blue hawaiian

I was super excited for this new flavor because I had no idea what to expect. Despite being zero sugar, this is hands down on of the sweetest liquids I have ever ingested. The first sip was quite jarring and abraisive, like I just mixed four juices at birthday party for a ten year-old. It's unfortunate that the flavor of this did not resonate with me beacuse I like the tiki/tropical vibe of the can design. Perhaps it would taste better diluted with seltzer water or club soda to cut the flavor, but the liklihood of me buying this product again is zero.
monster - ultra vice guava

I'm not usually a fan of guava flavored things, unless it's that one candy in the green wrapper. However, this drink was not too perfumy nor floral, like other guava thing I've tasted. This Monster had a good flavor, but it was quite faint. It wasn't as bold as other monsters, like the Ultra Peachy Keen, which might be a good thing since guava can be hit or miss. I would probably buy this again, but only if it was on sale.
